All About Me Magazine
What the class looks like.
In our Design a Magazine camp, kids learn how to take their ideas from “in my head” to “on the screen” —in a way that feels creative, not technical. They start by creating their own logo, choosing colours and fonts they genuinely love, and building a simple brand board that reflects their personality and style.
We print their magazine in the Kaper kids professional printshop on our legendary 7-foot printer, Humongous Gina.
At the end of the session, families are invited to a showcase where kids get to present what they created and celebrate the work they’re genuinely proud of.

Things You Might Be Wondering
How Much does it Cost?
Each design school session is $197
Why do you only take 8 Kids in this camp?
Groups are intentionally kept small to support focus, connection, and collaboration. This allows for more individual guidance and a smoother experience.
What if my child is anxious, shy, or needs extra support?
Many kids thrive here because the structure is clear, the activities are purposeful, and the group stays small. If your child benefits from specific support (e.g., transitions, sensory needs, anxiety), please contact me before camp so we can plan for success. crystal@kaperkids.com.
What does a typical day look like?
Each day includes a mix of guided instruction and hands-on creation time. We start with a quick warm-up or mini design challenge, then learn a new Canva skill (like logo design, layouts, fonts, colour palettes, or digital drawing). After that, kids work on their own projects while the instructor circulates to help, troubleshoot, and coach.
Halfway through class we do a quick dance/move break to reset brains and burn off wiggles. Then we jump back into creating, refining, and adding the finishing touches.
My child has allergies — what do we do?
If your child has allergies or dietary needs, please include details during registration. I can accommodate many common needs.
As an allergy parent myself, I understand the concern of sending your kid to a new environment. Please email me at crystal@kaperkids.com ahead of time.
What should my child bring/ Wear?
Please send:
A water bottle
A good sized snack (We use a lot of energy -thinking as deeply as we do in Design School)
Meet CRYSTAL
I’ve always loved kids who think a little differently—probably because I’m one of them.
I created Kaper Camps to give kids a place to not only have adventures but to sneak math and reading into their summer time fun. Without them even realizing they are still learning - All Summer Long!
