The Missing Masterpiece:
Van Gogh Edition
March Break Camp

March Break Camp March 23 – 27 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) Comox Marina Kids 8 – 13
$325

An art escape room–themed day camp where campers follow mysterious messages, crack codes, and solve puzzles to recover a missing Van Gogh masterpiece.

Where Art & Mystery Combine for a Fun Filled Week

Each day blends clue cracking and hands-on art as campers paint, sculpt, and create their own Van Gogh–inspired masterpiece.

All week, clues build to a final mystery challenge where campers work together to crack the case of the Missing Masterpiece.

My daughter absolutely loved her time at Crystal’s art camp! It was the perfect outlet for her creative side. From painting their own version of The Starry Night to sculpting with clay and even learning Morse code, the variety of activities kept her engaged and excited every single day.

She came home buzzing with stories about all the fun things they did. I can’t recommend Crystal’s camp enough for any parent looking to spark their child’s imagination!

The Missing Masterpiece

(The Mystery Your Kids Will Solve).

Kids arrive at camp after receiving an invitation to go on a "trip to France" with 12 other students to visit the world-famous Musée d’Étoile. Once they arrive at the museum, all of a sudden the doors lock and the alarms blare—someone has stolen The Starry Night.

Their tour guide goes missing, and they find a letter left for them asking for help to solve the case.

All week long, campers uncover clues from staff, artists, and patrons of the museum as they work toward solving the mystery of Van Gogh’s missing masterpiece.

Kids Get Mail!

Kids get mail before camp inviting them into that weeks theme and the world we create at Kaper Kids' Camps.

4

Adventure Time!

We may begin with relaxing art but we don't stay that way! Scavenger hunts, obstacle courses, mystery adventures are the daily goal!

We loved Crystal’s Van Gogh camp last summer. Crystal is a fun and enthusiastic instructor! She is organized, creative and has lots of cool art supplies to use.

We loved solving the mysteries and playing outside. Thanks for one of the best summer camps ever!

Things You Might Be Wondering

A week of camp is $325

Groups are intentionally kept small to support focus, connection, and collaboration. This allows for more individual guidance and a smoother experience.

Many kids thrive here because the structure is clear, the activities are purposeful, and the group stays small. If your child benefits from specific support (e.g., transitions, sensory needs, anxiety), please contact me before camp so we can plan for success. crystal@kaperkids.com.

Each day includes a mix of hands-on making, puzzle/mystery challenges, movement breaks, and guided collaboration. Kids rotate between activities so they stay engaged, have time to reset, and always know what’s coming next.

If your child has allergies or dietary needs, please include details during registration. I can accommodate many common needs.

As an allergy parent myself, I understand the concern of sending your kid to a new environment. Please email me at crystal@kaperkids.com ahead of time.

Please send:

  • A water bottle

  • Lunch + snacks

  • Weather-appropriate outdoor gear – we are outside rain or shine

  • Sunscreen – please apply before attending and we will reapply at lunch time

  • Clothes that can get messy or stained we often do art or do experiments

Meet CRYSTAL

I’ve always loved kids who think a little differently—probably because I’m one of them.

I created Kaper Camps to give kids a place to not only have adventures but to sneak math and reading into their summer time fun. Without them even realizing they are still learning - All Summer Long!
